Job Overview

The Production Worker performs tasks to prepare food production runs following safety, quality, and production standards, including drying, freezing, processing, sifting, grinding, boxing, and packaging. Responsibilities include disassembling, assembling, sanitizing, transporting, loading, unloading, and setting up materials and equipment, as well as assisting with machine operation.

Responsibilities
  • Perform work functions independently or as part of a team, supporting peers and communicating professionally.
  • Report safety, quality, operational, or HR concerns; identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain punctuality and dependability with excellent attendance.
  • Follow management instructions, make decisions, and complete tasks timely.
  • Support peer development and assist with training new staff.
  • Operate equipment safely and responsibly, including setup and shutdown.
  • Adhere to GMPs and SOPs, wearing required safety gear and reminding peers of safety standards.
  • Identify and report product quality issues, perform CCP checks, and participate in safety training.
  • Follow Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and participate in all LOTO activities.
  • Complete cleaning and sanitation procedures for equipment regularly and according to schedule.
  • Lead safety stretches and participate in team meetings.
  • Work overtime as needed to meet production goals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Experience & Skills
  • No experience required; 3-6 months of production experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience is a plus; forklift certification may be required and provided.
  • Basic reading, writing, and computer skills; ERP scanner use may be necessary.
  • Ability to perform basic math, count items, and track inventory.
Physical Requirements
  • Standing, walking, reaching, climbing ladders, and handling items up to 50 lbs.
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling, and pushing/pulling equipment.
  • Visual acuity including close, distance, peripheral, and focus adjustment.
  • Use of PPE such as respirators, hearing, eye, and head protection.
Working Conditions
  • Work in dusty, cold, hot, humid, wet, loud, or outdoor environments as needed.
  • Primarily in a production setting with minimal administrative duties.
