Job summary

2nd Shift, Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Wage: $18.00/hour + $1.00/hour Shift Differential

SUMMARY

The Production Worker is responsible for preparing final products for shipment by including and applying proper hardware onto the product, as well as adhering proper labels to product, based on customer specifications. As well as responsible for routine cleaning/wipe down of all fabricated products at Jamco after being welded and before they hit the paint booth, to help prepare the product for paint/shipping. Additional responsibilities are outlined in detail below:

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Unload fabricated products from paint carts.
  • Install the proper hardware based on build cards (handles, locks, wheels, etc.)
  • Place proper stickers properly (squarely and neatly)
  • Box, wrap and band products to the proper skid.
  • Build custom features as required.
  • Move product to the shipping area.
  • Uses forklifts to move parts as needed.
  • Move completed welded parts from the welding area to the cleaning area.
  • Load fabricated products onto paint carts.
  • Examine completed work pieces for defects such as deformed edges, marred surfaces, and report defective pieces to Team Leader.
  • Prepare product for painting by grinding and scraping the unit of any defects.
  • Wipe down product with a cleaning solution to prepare for paint.
  • Move cleaned product over to the paint staging area.
  • Uses crane or forklifts to move parts as needed.
  • Proper housekeeping of work area before, during and after shift.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION /EXPERIENCE
  • High school Diploma
  • Background in a manufacturing
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Ability to perform in a manufacturing environment that may have high noise levels, dust, chemicals, oil,and grease. Ability to work in an environment that may be either hot, cold, or humid.
