Job description

Production Worker III - 1st Shift

Location: Akron, Ohio, US

Performance Health is seeking a Production Worker III to join our team in Akron, OH. In this role, you will ensure that quality standards are met throughout the entire production process from raw materials to finished goods. This position operates equipment to produce finished goods in various areas including Synthetic Extrusion, Rubber Tubing, Braiders, TPE, Aquatics, and Miscellaneous Therapy and Parabath.

Shift: 1st shift, 6am-2pm, Monday through Friday, at our manufacturing facility in Akron, OH.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Train and assist in supervision of associates.
  2. Perform final inspections of products.
  3. Assembly and sub-assembly operations.
  4. Operate machinery such as band saws, rivet machines, water jets, presses, grinders, molders, splint formers, perforators, buffers, coaters, extruders, and buoy manufacturing equipment.
  5. Ensure quality assurance of products, perform material maintenance, and handle materials.
  6. Monitor, control, and troubleshoot machines.
  7. Pick and pack products, fill orders as needed.
  8. Operate a lift truck.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
  • 4-6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Intermediate computer skills, familiarity with MS Office required.
  • AS400 experience is a plus.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, and bend.
