Production Worker II, Dept 061- 3rd Shift (10:30p- 7:00am)

Position Summary:

Follow work orders, work instructions/SOPs, operate manufacturing machinery, inspect, package final products, and perform backup Lead Operator duties while adhering to Good Manufacturing/Documentation Practices standards. Follow SAI safety procedures including PPE use.

  • Apply lean 5S principles.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Follow scrap escalation process.
  • Observe the operation of up to two BFU (Brush Feeding Unit) cells, ensuring all are continuously running.
  • Monitor and respond to BFU alarms on all cells.
  • Read, understand, and navigate the HMI panel to reset faults and restart systems.
  • Ensure cap hopper & BFU brush hopper are sufficiently loaded.
  • Monitor cell process flow and communicate anomalies to the Lead, process technicians, and mechanics.
  • Perform two-hour WIP inspections as outlined in SOP and meet AQL standards.
  • Move completed boxes or totes to skid.
Education
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Complete Sunstar Departmental Training matrix and Training Checklist.
Knowledge/Experience
  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
Skills
  • Ability to read, speak, and comprehend written work instructions in English.
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
