Job summary

RectorSeal Fall River is seeking a Production Worker I to help assemble and prepare products for shipment. You will remove finished goods from machines, assist with loading, and package items for dispatch. This on-site hourly role requires daily presence at our Fall River facility.

Responsibilities include following safety rules, verifying quantities, assisting production staff, and keeping work areas clean. The position offers shift flexibility with overtime during peak periods.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or 6 months manufacturing experience.
• Able to stand 8–12 hours.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• On-site 8–12 hour shifts with potential overtime.

Job Overview:

The Production Worker I is responsible for helping assemble and prepare products for shipment. Their duties include removing finished goods or manufactured products from machines, assisting with loading the assembly process, packaging finished products, organizing them for shipment, and performing basic checks to ensure quality products and/or loads. This is an on-site hourly position and requires a daily presence at our RectorSeal Fall River, MA facility. Additional work hours will be assigned during peak times and year-end.

RectorSeal manufactures and/or distributes a variety of mechanical products for the HVAC, electrical, and plumbing industries. For over 80 years, RectorSeal’s customers have depended on us for quality products with excellent value, shipped to them in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities:

• Follows all company-established rules and policies; adheres to all safety rules, quality standards, process documentation, l and regulations.
• Maintains all quality indicators for operations by verifying product quantity/quality according to company requirements.
• Assists production personnel in accordance with instructions and specifications.
• Able to complete tasks assigned on simple machines.
• Produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
• Assemble and pack materials and equipment as required.
• Organizes and prepares goods for shipment.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Perform other related duties as directed.
• High School Diploma/Equivalent or 6 months of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment in lieu of education.
• Able to work 8 -12-hour shifts standing.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Available to work any shift and/or overtime as needed.

Preferred Experience:

• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, environment, or equipment.

Skills and Competencies:

• Able to collaborate in a team setting.
• Basic computer skills to function in job role.
• Able to read Material Safety Data Sheets as well as raw material and finished goods container labels and understand directives.
• Basic math skills to function in the role
• Willingness to comply and support safety standards.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands and fingers to type or dial, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with hands and arms.

The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position requires computer use. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Compensation:

RectorSeal has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position. The hiring range for this hourly position is: $15 - $17.50/hr.
