Job Overview

The Production Worker performs tasks to prepare food production runs, including drying, freezing, processing, sifting, grinding, boxing, and packaging, following safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include disassembling, assembling, sanitizing, transporting, and setting up equipment, as well as assisting in machine operation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform work functions independently or as part of a team, following instructions.
  • Support team members, communicate professionally, and report safety or quality issues.
  • Maintain punctuality and dependability, respond to management instructions, and support peer development.
  • Operate equipment safely, follow GMPs and SOPs, and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Identify and report quality or handling issues, perform CCP checks, and participate in safety training.
  • Follow Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, complete cleaning and sanitation tasks, and participate in safety meetings.
  • Work overtime as needed to meet production goals and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • No experience required; 3-6 months of production experience preferred. Forklift experience is a plus.
  • Basic reading, writing, and computer skills preferred. Ability to count, track, and adjust inventory.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, push, and pull equipment.
  • Good vision and use of PPE required.
Working Conditions
  • Work in dusty, cold, hot, humid, wet, loud, or outdoor environments depending on the area.
