SUMMARY :

This position is responsible for food service production.

Mon-Fri. 7am-3:30pm CT; subject to change

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :

1. Performs assembly of product into proper containers.
2. Completes pre-assembly work of stocking assembly lines, setting up containers, and ensuring that all products are available and in proper condition.
3. Applies labeling according to menus and assembles materials into pre-determined packages.
4. Follows instructions to complete assembly assignments.
5. Ensures that all procedures are followed for safe food handling.
6. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES :

Education :

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Other Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies :

• Must complete all Whitsons and government-required training.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB :

• Frequently required to sit, walk, talk, and hear.
• Use hands and fingers to handle or operate objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.
• Stand for most of the workday and walk back and forth.
• Lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; lifting while turning side to side may be necessary.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Position may require extended hours, including evenings and/or weekends, travel to multiple sites, and occasional out-of-state travel.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

• Primarily in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, including packing and warehousing areas.
• Standing most of the workday is required.
• Movement in and out of storerooms, near heavy machinery, and freezers.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures due to cooking and refrigeration equipment.
• Moderate to loud noise levels.
