Job Overview

The Production Worker performs tasks efficiently to prepare food production runs, following safety, quality, and production standards. Responsibilities include drying, freezing, processing, sifting, grinding, boxing, re-boxing, packaging, disassembling, assembling, sanitizing, transporting, loading, unloading, setting up materials, supplies, and equipment, and assisting with machine operation.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Perform work functions independently or as part of a team, supporting peers and maintaining professional communication.
  • Report safety, quality, operational, or HR concerns promptly and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain punctuality and dependability with excellent attendance.
  • Follow management instructions, make decisions, and complete tasks timely, actively engaging in learning.
  • Support peer development and assist in training new staff.
  • Operate equipment safely, support shift changes, and support safety protocols including PPE and LOTO procedures.
  • Perform extensive cleaning and sanitation of production equipment according to schedule.
  • Participate in safety meetings and perform overtime as needed to meet production goals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills
  • No experience required; 3-6 months of production experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
  • Basic reading, writing, and computer skills; ERP scanner use may be required.
  • Ability to perform basic math, count items, and track inventory accurately.
Physical Requirements
  • Standing, walking, reaching, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, and pushing/pulling equipment.
  • Specific vision abilities required.
Work Conditions
  • Ability to work in dusty, cold, hot, humid, wet, loud, or outdoor environments.
  • Primarily in a production environment with minimal administrative duties.
