Base pay range

$18.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Description

Production Worker / Packaging Operator

Salary: $18 - $20 + $1.00 shift difference

Shift: S-TH 11p - 7a

Job Type: Full Time

Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

1. The packaging operator performs bagging and baler operations, maintaining the ability to perform both as determined by Shift Leads.
2. Operate machinery following safety guidelines.
3. Assist other production areas as needed.
4. Move and wrap finished products.
5. Lift up to 50 lbs and stand for at least 7 hours daily.
6. Assist in starting and stopping pellet mills.
7. Report moisture or material issues to Shift Lead.
8. Maintain a clean workstation.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Bagging Operation

• Operate machinery such as bagging, baler, shrink wrapping, forklifts, pallet jacks, and bag sealers.
• Stack bags on pallets, cover, and place in warehouse.
• Complete production reports, fill pellet samples, and tag pallets with quality info.

Baler Operation

• Stack and seal bales, wrap pallets.
• Complete production reports, check bale weight, and record data.

Qualifications/Education

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift and production line experience preferred.
• Good eye, hand, and foot coordination.
• Pass forklift training.
• Ability to read scales.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic math skills.
