Job summary

Metko, a third‑generation Wisconsin manufacturer, is seeking a full‑time Production Associate on the second shift as a floater/utility to support various areas of production.

You will drill, tap, grind, deburr, read blueprints, operate CNC equipment, assemble, and verify parts, with training on first shift before transitioning to the regular second shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Dependable and punctual with a can-do attitude.
• Willingness to learn and grow in metal fabrication roles.
• Experience with hand and power tools is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Drill, tap, grind, deburr, and finish metal components.
• Operate CNC punch presses and CNC rolling machines.
• Perform basic assembly using shop tools.
• Read work orders and blueprints to produce quality parts.
• Check finished work with calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
• Complete production and quality documentation.
• Collaborate with teammates to meet quality and delivery targets.

We are looking for a full-time Production Associate to join our second shift team to work in the capacity of a Floater/Utility role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, likes variety, and wants to develop a broad range of metal‑fabrication skills.

Rather than remaining at one workstation every day, you will support different areas of production and help keep important customer projects moving.

Second Shift Schedule

Second Shift Schedule: Monday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Training for this position will temporarily take place on first shift before transitioning to the regular second shift schedule.

What You'll Do

• Drill, tap, grind, deburr, and finish metal components.
• Operate manufacturing equipment such as CNC punch presses and CNC rolling machines.
• Perform basic assembly work using shop tools and equipment.
• Read work orders and blueprints to produce quality parts.
• Check completed work with calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
• Complete production and quality documentation.
• Work alongside teammates to meet customer expectations for quality and delivery.

Previous production experience is helpful, particularly experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, or CNC machinery. CNC experience is not required.
