Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions in Missouri is hiring a Production Worker to safely operate blow mold, tube, cage line, build line equipment and assemble IBC totes from bottles to finished products.

Job description

The Production Worker is responsible for safely manufacturing, assembling, inspecting, and packaging new Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBC totes) through the complete operation of the manufacturing process. This position requires operating equipment such as blow mold machines, tube machines, cage line equipment, build line assembly stations, valve installation stations, quality inspection equipment, and other related manufacturing equipment.

This position supports all aspects of the manufacturing process, including producing new IBC bottles, manufacturing and assembling cage components, assembling bottles into cages, installing valves and associated components, performing quality inspections, material handling, and preparation of finished products for shipment.

The Production Worker must demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, willingness to learn all aspects of operations, and the ability to work efficiently in a steady to fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining all quality, safety, and productivity standards.

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS Safety
  • Follow all Plant Safety Rules and Regulations and participate in safety observations, discussions, near‑miss reporting, and continuous safety improvement initiatives.

Quality
  • Responsible for producing quality manufactured IBC totes and ensuring all quality procedures are followed
  • Perform visual inspections of bottles, cages, valves, caps, pallets, and components to verify compliance with quality standards
  • Compliance with ISO9001 requirements
  • Complete Manufacturing and Quality documentation accurately
  • Communicate internally regarding deviations, non‑conforming materials, or production concerns
  • Assist in 6S and lean manufacturing practices
Environmental
  • Verify compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Complete required environmental and operational reports as necessary
Primary Production Responsibilities
  • Safely operate blow mold equipment used to manufacture ICB bottles according to production specifications
  • Operate tube machine equipment used to manufacture and prepare cage components for assembly
  • Operate cage line equipment to manufacture and assemble metal cage structures
  • Operate build line equipment to assemble bottles, cages, pallets, and associated components into finished IBC totes
IBCtotes
  • Inspect bottles, cages, pallets, valves, and components for defects, damage, or nonconforming conditions prior to assembly
  • Assemble new IBC totes by installing bottles into newly manufactured cages and completing all required assembly operations
  • Install and verify proper fitment of:
    • Plugs
    • Caps
    • Cap Seals
    • Valves
    • Labels
    • Gaskets
    • Other specified parts and materials
  • Utilize various hand tools, including but not limited to plug wrenches, valve installation tools, pneumatic tools,

cutting tools, and assembly equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining production flow

  • Read and comprehend customer specifications, work instructions, and production requirements
  • Stage raw materials, bottles, cages, pallets, components, and supplies to support continuous production flow
  • Perform quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure finished products meet company and customer standards
  • Perform leak testing, visual inspections, and dimensional verification of finished products as required
  • Demonstrate acceptable capability in all operational areas of the facility during General Labor Rotation
  • Report any concerns regarding product quality, equipment performance, materials, or safety immediately to the Plant Manager or Plant Supervisor
  • Utilize company systems for reporting production, scrap, inventory, inspections, and operational data
  • Follow production schedules and required output quantities
  • Assist with handling incoming raw materials, production components, and finished goods as required
  • Assist with machine changeovers, startup activities, and basic equipment troubleshooting as directed
OTHERDUTIES
  • Maintain workplace in a clean, orderly, and safe condition
  • Attend all required meeting and training sessions
  • Perform all other duties as required or assigned
QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience and/or Training
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Prior experience in an industrial manufacturing, assembly, production, or fabrication environment preferred

  • Demonstrate initiative and problem‑solving skills to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity

  • Effectively communicate information to operators, maintenance personnel, supervisors, and management

  • Complete production, quality, inventory, and inspection records accurately and legibly

  • Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and ratios
PHYSICALDEMANDS

(Typically required on a regular basis to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.)

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the shift
  • Ability to stand, kneel, stoop, bend, and walk for the duration of the shift
  • Requires good hand, eye, and foot coordination
  • Frequently handle bottles, cages, pallets, components, and production materials
  • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, loud environments, airborne particles, fumes, and outside weather conditions
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment
  • Troubleshoot problems and report issues promptly
  • Work effectively in a team environment
  • Vision: 20/20 corrected and normal hearing range
  • Ability to work in an un‑climate‑controlled environment, including hot summer and cold winter conditions
