Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Robotic Torch Operator: cut and trim wheel components, load fixtures, set up tooling, conduct quality inspections.
  • CNC Machine Operator: set up and operate CNC machinery, read blueprints, perform first-piece inspections.
  • Setup Technician: set up equipment, tooling, fixtures, and perform changeovers.
  • Laborer / Class 2 Laborer: load and unload rims, move materials, inspect quality.
  • Machine Operator: operate equipment, monitor performance, make minor adjustments.
  • Welding Inspector / Welder: set up welding equipment and inspect welds.
  • Forklift Operator: transport materials and verify inventory.
  • Painter: prepare surfaces and apply coatings, maintain spray booths.

Position Title: Machine/Press Operator Wage: $20.03/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am-3:00pm We’re seeking dependable and safety-focused individuals to join a manufacturing team in Quincy, IL. Production Workers may be assigned to various departments, including CNC, Welding, Setup, Painting, Machine Operation, Robotic Torch Operation, Material Handling, and Forklift Operations. Team members are responsible for producing quality products, maintaining production standards, performing inspections, operating equipment, and supporting a safe and efficient work environment. Machine/Press Operator Responsibilities
  • Robotic Torch Operator
    • Cut and trim wheel components and rim bands according to blueprints and production routers
    • Load and position workpieces into fixtures and production equipment
    • Set up tooling and perform routine machine adjustments
    • Conduct quality inspections and verify specifications
    • Complete daily housekeeping and preventative maintenance tasks
  • CNC Machine Operator
    • Set up and operate CNC machinery to manufacture steel components
    • Read blueprints and work instructions
    • Perform first-piece inspections and quality checks
    • Utilize calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring tools
    • Complete SPC charting and production documentation
    • Monitor equipment and perform routine maintenance
  • Setup Technician
    • Set up production equipment, machines, tooling, fixtures, and workstations according to production schedules and specifications
    • Perform tooling changes, machine changeovers, and equipment adjustments to prepare machines for production runs
    • Verify machine settings, dimensions, and production requirements prior to startup
    • Read and interpret blueprints, routers, work orders, and production documentation
    • Utilize calipers, tape measures, gauges, and other measuring tools to ensure parts meet specifications
    • Troubleshoot setup issues and make adjustments to improve quality and production efficiency
    • Work closely with operators, quality personnel, and supervisors to ensure successful production runs
    • Perform first-piece inspections and assist with quality verification
    • Complete setup documentation and maintain accurate production records
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Laborer / Class 2 Laborer
    • Load and unload rims and wheel components from production lines
    • Move products and materials throughout the facility
    • Perform visual inspections to verify quality standards
    • Support production operations and maintain a clean work area
  • Machine Operator
    • Operate manufacturing equipment, hoists, and production machinery
    • Load and unload materials and finished products
    • Monitor machine performance and identify defects
    • Make minor adjustments and notify supervisors of issues
    • Complete housekeeping and safety inspections
  • Welding Inspector / Welder
    • Set up and operate welding equipment
    • Read blueprints, routers, and production schedules
    • Inspect welded products for quality and compliance
    • Utilize hand tools, measuring tools, and welding equipment
    • Complete required production and inspection documentation
  • Forklift Operator
    • Operate forklifts to transport wheels, steel, and raw materials
    • Load and unload trucks according to shipping documentation
    • Verify inventory movement and product accuracy
    • Maintain safe forklift operation and daily equipment inspections
  • Painter
    • Prepare surfaces and apply coatings using spray equipment
    • Follow specifications regarding pressure, temperature, nozzles, and cure times
    • Inspect finished products for coating quality and consistency
    • Maintain spray booths, equipment, and work areas
    • Wear required protective equipment throughout the shift
Machine/Press Operator Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous manufacturing, industrial, production, warehouse, or machine operation experience preferred
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
