Job summary

Tindall Corporation in Georgia is seeking a concrete production worker to support bed operations and pour preparation. You will place steel, strand, and concrete, then strip and clean beds for the next pour, following safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and are able to handle physical tasks in a fast-paced plant environment. The role involves teamwork, adherence to procedures, and proper use of concrete bed equipment.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety and quality rules to ensure a safe workplace and high-quality products.
  • Receive instructions, move torches, steel and tool buggies to bed and unload.
  • Prepare bed: uncover forms, detentions' bed, remove bulkheads, and clean tools.
  • Lay out rebar, plates, loops, channel and insulation.
  • Thread and cut strand; place chucks on ends.
  • Place and tie rebar, loops, wires, and form side plates.
  • Prepare for pour by blowing out bed and receiving pouring tools.
  • Receive concrete, connect air hoses, spread and vibrate concrete with spud vibrator, vibra trak, or vibrating screed.
  • Place insulation and ties, clean rails, sweep excess concrete, and return tools to chest/warehouse.

Summary of Primary Functions

Places steel, strand, and concrete in bed as necessary for the production of a concrete member. Strips and cleans bed for next pour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.
  • Receives instructions, rolls torches, steel and tool buggies to bed and unloads.
  • Uncovers bed, removes, sided forms if applicable, detentions' bed, removed bulkheads, removes block outs and cutbacks with railroad bar, cleans and oils bed.
  • Lays out rebar, plates, loops, channel and insulations, etc.
  • Pulls strand, threading bulkheads, block outs, frames and dead man, and; cuts strand with grinder and places chucks on ends.
  • Places and ties rebar, loops, stem and flange wire, chair flange wire, and places form and side plates.
  • Prepares for pour - blows out bed with air hose and receives pouring tools.
  • Receives concrete, hooks up air hoses, spread and vibrates concrete with spud vibrator, vibra trak, or vibrating screed.
  • Places insulation and C ties in bed, if applicable, scrapes rails, sweeps up excess concrete around bed, collects all tools and materials, and puts them away in tool chest or returns to warehouse.
Job Specifications or Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
