Job summary

Penmac Staffing Services, Inc. is hiring for a Charcoal Kiln Department Production Associate. This hands-on role works outdoors in hot, dusty conditions to produce premium lump charcoal by burning lumber in outdoor kilns.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. You will remove lumber that did not burn properly, remove metal bands, prepare and load kilns for the next burn cycle, perform general cleanup, and uphold safety and production standards while staying physically active

Charcoal Kiln Department Production Associate

We're hiring for our Charcoal Kiln Department, the toughest department in our operation. This team is responsible for producing our premium lump charcoal by burning lumber in outdoor kilns. The work is hot, dirty, and physically demanding, but it's also rewarding for people who enjoy hands-on work and aren't afraid to roll up their sleeves.

What You'll Do

• Remove lumber that has not burned properly during the charcoal-making process
• Remove metal bands used to bundle lumber
• Prepare and load kilns for the next burn cycle
• Perform general cleanup and other production-related tasks
• Work safely while maintaining production standards

Work Environment

This is 100% outdoor work in all weather conditions. You'll be working around heat, dust, dirt, and heavy materials in a fast-paced industrial environment. Candidates should be comfortable performing physical labor throughout their shift.

Schedule Available

• 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
