Hy-Vee Manufacturing seeks a Production Worker I to produce quality product safely and efficiently, following FDA and USDA standards. This non-exempt role reports to supervisors and line leads, with duties spanning setup, cleanup, and continuous improvement in a refrigerated production environment.
Ideal candidates have a high school education, warehouse experience helpful, and a strong commitment to cleanliness, safety, and teamwork to meet daily production goals and maintain product quality.

High school education or equivalent.
Previous Warehouse experience would be helpful.
Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force repeatedly; exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
Must be able to be on feet (standing and walking) for 8 -10 hours a day.
Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
The duties of this position are performed mostly in the production area which is wet and refrigerated (@38 degrees).
Work around loud equipment.

Frequent deadlines exist while handling multiple tasks.
Ability to climb, bend, lift and work in areas of limited mobility.
Must have the ability to use logical thinking or solve problems.
Follow all written and verbal instructions.
Has daily contact with employees, technicians, suppliers and vendors.
Has occasional contact with federal or state regulatory agencies regarding inspections.
