Job summary

Beecher's Handmade Cheese is opening a new cheesemaking facility in Shullsburg, Wisconsin, and seeks Production Workers to support cheesemaking and production operations. This hands-on role spans vat/table operations, packaging, and sanitation, emphasizing safety, cleanliness, and craftsmanship that define Beecher's.

Responsibilities include supporting daily production, operating equipment safely, monitoring quality, and completing production records.

Qualifications

• Must be capable of following standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Previous food manufacturing, dairy, agriculture, warehouse, or production experience preferred but not required.

Job description

Beecher's Handmade Cheese is excited to be opening a new cheesemaking facility in Shullsburg, Wisconsin, and we're looking for Production Workers to support our cheesemaking and production operations.

This is a hands-on manufacturing role that may be assigned to a variety of production areas including vat/table operations, packaging, and sanitation. Team members play a critical role in producing high-quality products while maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and craftsmanship standards that define Beecher's.

What You'll Do

Depending on assignment, responsibilities may include

Production Operations

• Support daily cheese production activities.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor products and processes to ensure quality standards are met.
• Complete required production records and documentation.
• Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions.

Vat/Table Operations

• Assist with curd handling, milling, salting, hooping, and other cheesemaking activities.
• Monitor product quality throughout the production process.
• Maintain accurate production records.

Packaging

• Package finished products according to specifications.
• Label, inspect, and prepare products for distribution.
• Maintain quality and food safety standards throughout packaging operations.

Sanitation

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, utensils, and production areas.
• Follow sanitation procedures and schedules.
• Support food safety and regulatory compliance requirements.

Raw Intake (Licensed Role)

• Receive and inspect incoming milk shipments.
• Complete required testing, sampling, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and food safety requirements.

HTST/Whey Processing (Licensed Role)

• Operate pasteurization and whey processing systems.
• Monitor temperatures, flow rates, and process controls.
• Maintain required records and regulatory documentation.
