Job summary

Smurfit Westrock, in Seward, NE, seeks a manufacturing operator to support corrugated box production. You will operate equipment, perform quality checks, set up materials and machines, and maintain a clean, safe workspace. The starting pay is $22.32 per hour for 1st shift (5:00 AM–1:30 PM).

Overtime, weekend work and rotating shifts may apply. A high school diploma is required; manufacturing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Must be able to work daily overtime and various shifts.
• Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work any available shift.
• Safety–conscious and able to operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment/safely follow directions.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Work safely and comply with all safety regulations.
• Push, pull, bend, squat, lift, reach, kneel, and stand up to 12 hrs per day.
• Lift up to 50 lbs on a frequent basis.
• Work daily overtime, weekend work and various shifts.
• Willingness to work any available shift.
• Other duties as assigned.

Primary Duties Include

Safely performing a wide range of tasks supporting the manufacturing of corrugated boxes, conducting quality checks, material set-up, machine set-up and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working safely, a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a strong desire to learn manufacturing processes and operate complex machinery.

Available Shift(s): 1st Shift 5:00 AM- 1:30 PM

Starting Pay: $22.32

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Operating manufacturing equipment/powered equipment safely and follow specific directions
• Maintaining a clean work environment
• Ability to read a tape measure and have basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work safely and comply with all safety regulations.
• Ability to push, pull, bend, squat, life, reach, kneel, and stand for up to 12 hrs. per day.
• Must be able to push, pull or lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis.
• Required to work daily overtime, weekend work and various shifts depending on workload.
• Must be willing to work any available shift.
• Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Other duties as assigned
