Job summary

Gordon Water Systems Inc. is seeking a dependable production team member to work in a fast-paced environment at our Kalamazoo location.

The role includes daily bottling tasks, warehouse upkeep, and occasional customer service responsibilities to support bottle route deliveries and walk-in customers. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to lift 50 lbs, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and a friendly, neat appearance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform production duties including decapping bottles and loading on conveyor belts to ensure clean, uncontaminated products.
  • Assist with warehouse maintenance and inventory management to support order fulfillment.
  • Handle customer service tasks such as loading salt and bottled water for customers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization to keep the warehouse inspection-ready.
  • Conduct daily water testing as part of technical responsibilities.

As a production team member, you will be contributing to an integral part of our business. Attention to the established process to produce a quality product is essential. A day as a production team member will contain the actual purifying and bottling of water, along with Warehouse maintenance and inventory management.

Production (approx. 75% of time)
  • Decapping bottles
  • Loading bottles on conveyor belt
  • Ensuring bottles to be filled are not contaminated
  • Loading skids
  • Use of forklift
  • Customer Service (approx. 10% of time)
  • Loading salt for customers
  • Loading bottled water for customers
Inventory (approx. 5% of time)
  • Stocking shelves with coffee and associated products
Cleaning (approx. 5% of time)
  • Spraying down floors, walls
  • Ensure that warehouse and production area is inspection ready
Technical (approx. 5% of time)
  • Daily water testing

Job requirementsTo be successful in this role, you need to have a certain amount of knowledge.

In terms of experience, we prefer that you have some customer service background.Critical to doing this work, is how you go about it. We need a production team member who enjoys working as part of a team, and who has a natural tendency to help others. We call this a “service above self” mentality.As a production member, you play a critical role in producing water for our Bottle Route delivery drivers, as well as our walk-in customers at three locations. You must be dependable, and detail oriented.
