Steel of West Virginia, Inc., located in Huntington, WV, is hiring Production Workers. Entry pay starts at $21.49 per hour with double-time on Sundays and seven consecutive days, rising every six months to $26.86 at 18 months per the union contract.

You will operate finishing lines to finish beams, channels, and shapes, following safety regulations and production targets. Benefits include a competitive package, 401(k) contributions, and profit sharing.

Formación

• Ability to work in all weather conditions and stand for long periods.

Responsabilidades

• Finish and process structural beams, channels, and shapes to customer specs.
• Operate finishing lines and support robotic weld and material handling.
• Follow safety rules and contribute to quality control.

Overview

Steel of West Virginia, Inc., a subsidiary of Steel Dynamics, Inc. operates a steel mill located in Huntington, WV and adjacent to Marshall University. SWVA supplies specialty long rolled steel beams and channels as well as semi-finished weldments via our three rolling mills and robotic weld and material handling lines.

We are growing and have openings for Production Workers. The Production Worker Entry Level Pay is $21.49 per hour. Double-time is paid on seventh consecutive day worked. Rate increases every six months until full rate ($26.86) is reached at 18 month anniversary (per current union contract).

Production Workers at our finishing lines then custom finish structural beams, channels, and special shape steel sections to customer specifications.

Qualifications

You must meet the following qualifications:

• Possess a high school diploma or GED
• Be drug free
• A clear understanding and adherence to safety regulations
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
• Ability to stand/work for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more repetitively on a regular basis
• Must be self-motivated team player, anxious and willing to learn new skills
• Perform other duties as required
