Job summary

Van Essen is seeking a qualified production worker to join our on-site Hayward, CA team. You will perform a variety of production operations, operate machinery, and help maintain quality and organization in a clean, safe workspace. The role requires lifting up to 20 lbs and may involve rotating duties across tasks.

Starting pay is $23.43/hour with an increase to $24.18/hour after a 90-day probation. Shift is four 10-hour days (Mon-Thu 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.).

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
• Perform different job functions on a rotating basis.
• Must have the ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Minimum 2 years of previous work experience in a warehouse, Electronic/Manufacturing environment preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Production team. The production worker will perform a wide range of tasks to build a variety of electromechanical devices.

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions
• Perform different job functions on a rotating basis
• Surface Mount Soldering skills, preferred
• High School Diploma or GED, preferred
• Minimum 2 years of previous work experience in a warehouse, Electronic/Manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to lift, bend, twist, walk, and reach frequently
• Ability to perform repetitious duties while standing or sitting for long periods of time.
• Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 20 lbs. regularly

Additional Information

• This is an on-site opportunity that must be done from our location in Hayward, CA
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H1-B and green card sponsorship is not available for this position.

This position is part of the Teamsters Local 853 union and requires membership.

• Starting pay is $23.43 (After 90-day probation, pay increases to $24.18)

• Must become a member of the Teamsters Local 853 union
