Job summary

Sonoco in Hartsville, SC is seeking a Production Worker to support winding and finishing operations. The role offers a pay rate of $22.43 per hour with the potential for a monthly bonus and includes rotating shifts (7:00 am–3:00 pm and 3:00 pm–11:00 pm) with overtime as needed.

The position emphasizes safety, efficiency, and teamwork, with responsibilities ranging from operating small equipment to loading tubes, labeling, and packing products.

Qualifications

• Have a very good record in safety, work history, attendance and housekeeping.
• Able to work o/t, weekends, and holidays.
• Have a history of labor intensive work experience.
• Fork truck experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• responsible for safely and efficiently assisting machine tenders or others with the physical requirements of the assigned operations
• require operating small hand-type or less complicated equipment
• removing tubes from overhead dryer chain conveyor
• loading tubes on trucks and labeling them properly
• placing scrap on carts to be hauled away
• inspection and packing tubes
• other essential duties as assigned

The Hartsville Converting Operations has an opening for a Production Worker. This position will be under the general direction of the Winding and/or Finishing Shift Supervisor.

What You Will Be Doing

• responsible for safely and efficiently assisting machine tenders or others with the physical requirements of the assigned operations
