Job summary

Ashland Sawmill in Maine is seeking a Production Worker to support the lumber production process from logs to high-quality lumber. You will join a team of production workers and skilled trades professionals, gaining hands-on experience across multiple mill areas.

Training includes machine operation, fire watch, stacking, cleaning, and more, with day and night shifts available to sustain continuous production and long-term career growth within J. D. Irving, Limited.

About the Role

Are you ready to learn new skills, work safely and build a long-term career? As a Production Worker, you’ll play a key role in supporting the production process that transforms logs into high-quality lumber.

In this position, you’ll work alongside a team of production workers and skilled trades professionals, gaining hands‑on experience across multiple areas of the mill. Training will include a variety of tasks such as machine operation, fire watch, stacking, cleaning, and more providing you with valuable skills and career growth opportunities.

This is an active job that requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a busy environment. Both day and night shift positions are available to support continuous production.
