Job summary

Alstom in Plattsburgh, NY seeks an experienced welder to perform arc welding on stainless steel and support assembly tasks in a factory setting. You will operate MIG/MAG equipment, perform pre-welding work, and conduct self-inspections to ensure quality.

Responsibilities include guiding junior welders, maintaining robotic weld equipment, and packing finished products while following 5S, ESD and EHS safety standards. Experience in an industrial environment is required.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Arc welding certification (SENAI or equivalent) required.
• Proficiency in MIG/MAG, TIG and STICK welding methods.
• Strong attention to detail and communication for team operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc welding on stainless steel using MIG/MAG.
• Pre-welding assembly and tack welding.
• Visual inspection of welds and quality assurance, including self-inspections.
• Guide junior welders and maintain robotic equipment.
• Adhere to safety, 5S, ESD and EHS regulations.
• Pack finished vehicles or parts for shipment and complete tally sheets.
