Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is hiring a Production Welder to perform in-house welding of large metallic structures and tooling for high-field superconducting magnets. We offer multiple shifts (weekday or weekend) and a manufacturing environment focused on quality and safety.

Candidates should have training or certification in blueprint reading and welding processes (GMAW, GTAW, SMAW) and at least 5 years of welding experience on large structures.

Qualifications

• Blueprint reading and fabrication experience.
• Experience with GMAW, GTAW, SMAW welding processes.
• 5+ years welding large structural systems and tooling.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Weld and inspect large metallic structures and tooling.
• Set up welding processes per specifications and select equipment.
• Read drawings, take measurements and plan layout.
• Perform hand and semi-automated welding in multiple positions.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
