1st Shift, 6:00 AM-3:00 PM

Typical starting pay, $22.65-$28.50

Welder II at HammerHead:

This position is responsible for welding of steel, aluminum and stainless steel parts using a MIG and TIG processes. Working closely with the Lead Welder is key to planning ahead and ensuring that all tasks are completed on schedule. This position requires the ability to read drawings and produce a consistently quality product. This is a hands on position that requires a focus on safety. This position reports to the Lead Welder.

What Will You Do?

  • Setting up welding machines for each specific task.

  • Reading and interpreting drawings to determine the specific welding requirements.

  • MIG and TIG welding steel, aluminum and stainless steel components based on the specifications of the drawings.

  • Ensuring that work is done safely and meets quality standards.

  • Operating machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators.

  • Planning ahead with the Lead welder to ensure that all tasks are completed on time.

  • Assembling items as instructed by Lead Welder.

  • Maintaining areas of work to 6S standards.

What Will You Need?

  • 2+ years of field experience with MIG and TIG welding.

  • Ability to lift up to 80lbs.

  • Ability to be certified to operate a forklift and use other heavy equipment.

Work Environment:

  • Plant environment with outside loading and unloading of trucks.

  • Rapidly changing demands, schedules, and deadlines.

  • Majority of the day on your feet.

  • Extended use of telephone and computer.

  • Working with hazardous materials, including fuels, lubricants, drilling fluids, and batteries while wearing the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

  • Overtime as necessary.
