Job summary

FALL CREEK FARM & NURSERY in Jonesboro, AR is seeking a production welder to perform welding tasks necessary to produce Apex products. You will weld components, clamp, tack-weld, heat-bend, and bolt parts to meet precise configurations.

You will operate SMAW and GMAW equipment, ignite torches, adjust gas flow, inspect work, and keep tools clean while adhering to safety rules and documenting production records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1-year work experience in production welding.
• Demonstrated welding ability.
• Able to work overtime hours (more than 40 hours per week and Saturdays) as required.
• Stand and walk continuously for 8-10 hours, if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Performs welding work and activities required to produce Apex products.
• Weld components at a fast pace and in vertical positions and downward motion.
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt components to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
• Ignite torches or start power supplies and strike arcs by touching electrodes to metals being welded, completing electrical circuits.
• Inspect initial product and adjust as necessary to produce the quality product.
• Maintain equipment in good working condition and report all safety/maintenance concerns.
