Job summary

CellMark is seeking a Production & Warehouse Operator to handle manufacturing, packaging, and shipping tasks at our Naugatuck facility. The role includes weighing ingredients, operating equipment, and maintaining cleanliness and safety across the production area.

Primary duties cover loading, milling assistance, labeling, and stack preparation for packaging, with secondary duties handling shipping/receiving and cross-training on tray and floor sanitation.

Qualifications

• High School degree required; Associate/Trade degree a plus.
• Forklift certification preferred; valid driver's license may be required.
• 1–3 years of related experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Must be self-motivated, able to stand for most of the day, and work both independently and in a team.
• Comfortable operating a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture: weigh ingredients, load and operate equipment, stage utensils, dry products, milling assistance.
• Quality/Cleaning: perform facility walk-throughs, pest control, inventory of chemical closet, clean equipment and rooms.
• Packaging/Labeling: weigh and pack products, apply labels.
• Procedures: follow SOPs, hygiene and safety protocols, document cleaning.

Job Description

The Production & Warehouse Operator will be responsible for a variety of duties. The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Primary Duties

• Manufacturing
  • Weigh ingredients for production as per instructions on batch record
  • Load products onto machines
  • Set up and operate manufacturing equipment - blenders, granulators, mill, etc.
  • Stage utensils for manufacturing
  • Load products onto trays for drying
  • Assist in milling products
• Quality/Cleaning
  • Conduct weekly walk through of facility and perform maintenance of pest control
  • Maintain inventory of chemical closet
  • Clean equipment before and after use
  • Clean manufacturing rooms and warehouse
• Packaging and Labeling
  • Weigh and pack finished products
  • Apply labels on packaged product containers
• Procedures
  • Written standard operating procedures must be followed at all stages in manufacturing
  • Follow proper hygiene and safety protocols as per written procedures
  • Document cleaning on logs for all equipment
• Other
  • Operate a Forklift
  • Pass 25kg cartons through metal detection conveyer
  • Prepare trays
  • Prepare cartons and drums for packing
  • Collect trash on premises, place in collection bin
  • Cross-train on tray washing, floor washing and production area sanitation

Secondary Duties

• Shipping & Receiving
  • Assist unloading shipping containers and loading outbound orders onto trucks
  • Pick orders and build outbound pallets of customer orders
  • Pick materials for production orders
  • Checking orders, and other various shipping/receiving functions
• Other Duties as Assigned
  • Note: Must be able to safely lift 60 lbs

Job Qualifications

• High School degree is required. Associate’s and/or Trade Degree is a plus.
• Valid Driver’s License & Car Required.
• Forklift Certification preferred.
• 1-3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• This job requires someone who is self‑motivated, able to perform work while standing for most of the day.
• Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• The job requires someone who is comfortable operating a forklift.
