Job summary

Turkey Hill in Searcy, Arkansas is hiring a Production Utility for the night shift (9:00pm–5:30am). You will handle food in packaging, monitor codes, assist the filler operator, and support housekeeping, sanitation, and product quality across the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Handle food in various forms and place in packaging.

• Maintain food safety to prevent contamination.
• Ensure product contents and packaging match specifications.
• Input data into the master batch record.
• Perform housekeeping, sanitation and quality checks throughout production.
• Maintain the integrity of the quality system.

Hours for this position are 9:00pm-5:30am.

The Production Utility makes an impact by:

• Handle food in various forms and place in primary or secondary packaging.
• Monitor in accordance with the SOP and /or MBR the code date on packaging.
• Assist filler operator as required.
• Carry out waste as assigned and during changeovers and shut down processes.
• Handle each product in a food safe manner preventing contamination or foreign matter of entering finished product.
• Ensure the product contents and packaging of finished goods sent into the VRT match.
• Perform the required data input into the master batch record.
• Tasks include housekeeping, general sanitation and product quality assessment responsibilities throughout the manufacturing process.
• Maintain the integrity of the quality system.

Physical Demands

• The employee is required to talk and/or hear in a manufacturing setting where noise levels are high (PPE required).
• The employee is required to wear mandated PPE based on assigned job area.
• The employee is frequently required to stand and walk in an manufacturing environment for 8+ hours.
• The employee must be able to ascend and descend stairs, and where applicable and when necessary, to perform various job-related tasks.
• Must be able to position self to move, reach with arms/hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed to perform various job-related tasks.
• The employee must be able to inspect all job-related equipment (office or floor) to ensure it is in good working condition prior to use. Must be able to use hands/fingers to handle (or feel) to operate various types of office equipment.
• Must be able to operate all job-related equipment (powered, hand or office) as required.
• Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and adjust focus.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and/or push/pull 50 pounds on a regular basis.
