Job summary

UniFirst Corporation in Nashua, NH is seeking Production team members for cleanroom-focused roles. A background in cleanroom/contamination control is a plus, but motivation, strong work ethic and willingness to grow with an industry leader are valued.

As part of a growing team, you will perform duties from sorting and gowning to washing, drying, and packaging articles, following established procedures to prevent contamination.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination.
• Language Skills: Ability to read a limited number of two- three-syllable words, recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Sort articles by item and material type.
• Gown in clean-room garments with a minimum of a hood, coverall, boots and gloves.
• Follow best practices for clean-room environments.
• Weigh articles, load articles into washer, start washer.
• Remove clean, wet articles from washer and place them into dryers for measured time cycles.
• Turn/right articles as necessary in preparation of packaging. Inspect for damage.
• Mend torn/damaged articles as necessary.
• Bundle/package articles to in accordance with work order requirements.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
