Job description

Need 1 full-time, temporary Seasonal Production Truck Driver to work in Newport, MN, from 03/31/2025 to 11/21/2025. Work schedule: 40 hrs./week, Mon-Fri, 8 hrs./day, with hours typically from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm. Overtime beyond 48 hours per week paid at 1.5x regular rate. Must apply by 07/21/2025.

Job Duties:

1. Load and deliver containerized and bare root plants using straight trucks, flat beds, curtainsides.
2. Adjust plant racks for delivery, operate tractor trailers for freight and customer deliveries, and assist with loading/unloading.
3. Complete local routes safely, adhering to company policies and DOT regulations.
4. Perform nursery production tasks such as planting, cultivating, harvesting, grading, labeling, packing, and loading plants.
5. Assist with nursery maintenance activities like pruning, watering, fertilizing, and environmental control in ECS structures.
6. Record inventory and process shipping paperwork, operate related machinery, and perform manual labor as needed.

Employer guarantees work for 3/4 of the contract period. Free housing and transportation are provided if applicable. Daily subsistence during travel is at least $15.88, up to $59.00 with receipts.
