Job summary

Milo's Tea Company is seeking a Production Trainee for PM shift at our Bessemer, AL plant. You will support daily operations, operate production equipment, and help ensure safety, quality, and efficiency across the line.

Qualifications

• Must use hands to handle and reach with arms.
• Must stand, walk, stoop or kneel for much of shift.
• Ability to stay at workstation for three continuous hours.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate production machinery including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Manually handle cased goods around the manufacturing area.
• Follow safety rules, GMP guidelines and clean as required.
• Weigh and prepare raw materials for processing.
• Provide coverage for line operators during rest periods.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area and teamwork.
• Document production activities and required paperwork.
• Overtime and weekend work as needed.
• Contribute to Food Safety, Quality and corporate responsibility initiatives.

If you require assistance or accommodation to participate in the job application process, please contact [e-mail].**Position Summary**The Production Trainee is responsible for carrying out all routine operations and operating equipment within the plant.**Ownership*** Safely operate all production machinery including forklifts, pallet jacks, hoses, etc.* Manually handle cased goods around manufacturing area.* Follow all safety rules and requirements and GMP guidelines.* Weigh and prepare raw materials for processing.* Provide coverage for line operators during assigned rest periods.* Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area.* Work with fellow operators as a team to achieve safety, quality, and production goals.* Assist maintenance with troubleshooting equipment problems.* Perform general housekeeping and plant clean up as needed.* Responsible for accurately documenting production activities and submitting required paperwork.* Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required.* This position has responsibilities related to Food Safety and Quality.* Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling, social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities.* Invest in and is an example of Milo’s Responsibility commitment which includes environmental, social, and corporate governance components.* Perform other duties as assigned.**Qualifications*** Required to use hands to handle, reach with hands and arms.* Required to stand, walk, stoop or kneel for much of assigned shift.* Must have the ability to stay at work station and area for three continuous hours.* Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.* Comfortable being exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, occasionally exposed to extreme cold.
