Job summary

Premier Marine is seeking a Tooling & Fixture Engineer to own production tooling lifecycle, maintain fixtures and gauges, and partner with operations to eliminate variation and waste. You will drive continuous improvement and support new product launches with robust, production-ready tooling.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to ensure safety, quality, and productivity while advancing standardization across tooling practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level technical degree or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• 3+ years supporting manufacturing tooling, fixtures, or production equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications and GD&T.
• Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
• Knowledge of machining, fabrication, welding, and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Own production tooling after product launch and manage lifecycle.
• Maintain fixtures, templates, gauges, and other tooling.
• Develop and enforce tooling lifecycle management and maintenance schedules.
• Keep tooling inventory and documentation organized.
• Ensure tooling is safe, capable, and production-ready.
• Lead tooling improvement projects to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Support New Product Launches with tooling transitions to production.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and tooling reliability efforts.
• Respond to tooling issues impacting safety, quality, productivity, or delivery.
• Document standardized tooling design principles and changes.
