Northrop Grumman's Defense Systems in Northridge, CA is seeking a Production Test Technician 4 to join our team supporting AARGM and SiAW programs. The primary responsibility is evaluation, setup and testing of electrical/ mechanical devices according to written procedures.

Candidates should have at least 6 years of electronics testing experience, proficiency with test equipment (Power Supplies, Signal Generators, Multimeters, O-Scopes, RF instruments), and the ability to work in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus electronics testing experience.
• Experience with general test equipment and reading drawings.
• Able to obtain and maintain US government Secret clearance.

This position is on-site only. The primary responsibility in this role is the evaluation, set-up and testing of electrical mechanical devices. Testing will be performed in accordance with written procedures. Test data will be generated to support customer requirements. The selected candidate will work in a manufacturing environment where specific, required, production goals will need to be adhered to, and ESD and FOD procedures followed; attention to detail is paramount.Due to the nature of the work, the selected candidate will be part of a team that works closely together, so ethical and respectful team interaction and communication is of the utmost importance. Even though this position is in a team environment and set up for team success, the selected candidate will be required to work independently with little supervision. Occasional heavy lifting and occasional overtime may be required. This position will require flexibility between 1st or 2nd shift.

Basic Qualifications Test Technician 4:

• High school diploma or GED with 6 years experience in electronics testing or related field
• Knowledge and familiarity of general test equipment including Power Supplies, Signal Generators, Multi-meters, O-Scopes, RF Instruments, etc.
• Ability to balance and lift fixtures up to at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to read technical publications and drawings, familiarity with systems within a production environment.
• Basic computer literacy: ability to interface with computers.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance; US citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications Test Technician 4:

• Associate’s Degree in Electronics Technology or two years of technical/military training in avionics
• Ability to trouble shoot electronic circuit cards to the component level
• Be able to apply electronic and electro-mechanical theory
• Computer proficiency in Windows XP and above
• Experience with automated test equipment

Primary Level Salary Range: $70,400.00 - $117,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
