Job summary

Rockwell Automation is hiring a full-time Manufacturing Production Test Technician Level 2 in Mequon, Wisconsin. The role runs on a Monday–Friday 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM shift and involves setting up, calibrating and testing circuits and assemblies to meet defined tolerances.

You’ll document findings and contribute to process improvements. The ideal candidate has basic electronics knowledge, the ability to read schematics, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of High School Diploma/GED; US work authorization; no visa sponsorship.
  • Associate's Degree in Electrical Technician or related field.
  • 1 year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components and assemblies.
  • Develop test specifications from blueprints and diagrams; test and troubleshoot assemblies and systems.
  • Prepare technical reports; assist in selection and setup of test equipment.

What Rockwell Needs from You

We have an immediate hiring need for our full-time manufacturing Production Test Technician Level 2. This is a 1st Shift role (M-F, 6:00AM – 2:00PM), with a starting rate of $24.71 per hour. Job Summary: Perform the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Determine and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams. Test and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems. May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing. Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. May help with the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.

Responsibilities: Use documented work instructions with schematics and manufacturing execution systems to produce product that meets determined tolerances and specifications on semi-routine assignments at a variety of workstations. You will implement automated electronic product test systems, performing basic evaluation of product performance anomalies and determines basic failure causal analysis of moderately complex power and digital electronic industrial machinery control components. Using automated test systems and basic electronic measurement tools, you will follow documented work instructions and online procedures in conducting repetitive tests of similar electronic product. You will evaluate unfavorable test results under guidance from a higher-level Tester and makes recommendations for product rework. A demonstrated understanding and analyses and diagnoses techniques is required to accomplish tests and record results in appropriate data bases if results are not automatically recorded. You will prepare product for test using documented and defined equipment set-ups in semi-automated test bays, understanding separated power structures within complexity and variation of PCBAs. The ability to use more enhanced electrical troubleshooting tools such as tracers, oscilloscopes, and cap reformer is required. Understanding electrical properties of electronic components (IGBT, SCR, Diode, and Capacitor and interpreting product fault codes and how codes relate to potential functional or application anomalies is crucial to the role.

Skills: Read and understanding written instructions and schematics. Use a computer to find appropriate job-related information. Work in a team environment Use manual tools, power tools and machinery, live power and energized equipment. Familiar with using a computer to access and update data. Basic ability to read, write and speak English.

Minimum Qualifications

You Will Have A minimum of High School Diploma/GED Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening. A minimum of Associate's Degree - Electrical Technician or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

You May Have Typically requires 1 year of related experience.
