Job summary

MACOM is seeking a Hi-Rel Test Technician to perform DC, RF, and microwave electrical testing on diode devices. The role involves setting up manual and automated test equipment, testing across temperature extremes, and collaborating with engineering to support die selection and calibration.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years experience in manufacturing testing.
• Detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to follow oral and written guidelines and read Procedures, Test Specifications and Test Plans.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Knowledge of electrical and microwave test measurements preferred.
• Knowledge of ESD procedures preferred.
• Knowledge of MIL/Aerospace and ISO specifications is a plus.
• Due to ITAR regulations, only U.S. Persons will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical testing (DC, RF, and microwave) on diode and related devices per Test Plans.
• Set up manual and automated test equipment for pass/fail tests.
• Test across varied temperature extremes and environments.
• Troubleshoot test setups and support operators with daily issues.
• Organize and schedule work to meet customer ship dates.
• Collaborate with engineering and evaluation teams for die selection.
• Coordinate with Calibration group to maintain equipment calibration.
• Conduct environmental testing including fine and gross leak tests, constant acceleration, and burn-in processing.
• Load production and engineering lots into burn-in for qualification, screening, and life testing.
• Monitor burn-in setups and runs for consistency and performance.
• Perform solder dip on various device packages and conduct pre-cap visual inspection per MIL/Aerospace and customer requirements.

Hi-Rel Test Technician

Job Description:

• Perform electrical testing (DC, RF, and microwave) on diode and related devices in accordance with Test Plans
• Set up both manual and automated test equipment to execute pass/fail electrical tests
• Perform electrical testing across various temperature extremes
• Troubleshoot test setups and support operators with daily issues
• Organize and schedule work based on backlog to meet customer ship dates
• Collaborate with engineering and evaluation teams for die selection
• Work with the Calibration group to ensure all equipment maintains current calibration status
• Perform environmental testing including:
• Fine leak testing
• Gross leak testing (bubble and dye penetrant)
• Constant acceleration
• Load production and engineering lots into burn in for qualification, screening, and life testing
• Monitor burn in setups and runs for consistency and performance
• Perform solder dip on various device packages
• Conduct pre cap visual inspection to MIL/Aerospace and customer requirements

Education and Experience:

• 4 - 6 years’ experience in manufacturing testing
• Detail oriented
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to follow oral and written guidelines as well as read & understand Procedures, Test Specifications and Test Plans
• Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Computer skills helpful, specifically SAP and MS office applications
• Knowledge of various electrical and microwave test measurements preferred
• Knowledge of ESD procedures preferred
• Knowledge of various MIL/Aerospace and ISO specifications is a plus

Hourly Range

The Hourly Range for this position is $16.00 – $26.00 per hour. Actual salary offered to candidates will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates’ experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
