Job summary

SiTime is seeking a Production Test Operator to support ATE final test operations in Santa Clara, CA. You will lead day-to-day production line activities, ensure smooth execution, monitor yields, and help fulfill orders for engineering samples and customers.

The role emphasizes accurate record-keeping, adherence to procedures, and teamwork across shifts. Prior experience in automated electronics is welcome, but training is provided to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Associate Degree is a plus.
• 0–2 years in automated electronics or semiconductor back-end manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of MES software, inventory tracking (ERP/SAP), and basic MS Excel for production logs.

Responsibilities

• Machinery Operation: Set up and run production machinery (ATE test handler loading).
• Device Testing & Handler Support: Load device trays into automated test handlers; monitor jams and perform basic cleaning to maintain throughput.
• Visual & Mechanical Inspection: Inspect die surfaces, bond wires, and package leads for cracks or solder issues under microscopes.
• Lot Inventory & Yield Tracking: Record pass/fail yields and test data in MES/ERP systems; flag low-yield lots.

Job Summary

Production support for ATE final test operations. Lead day-to-day operations of the automated IC testing and tape & reel production line for custom customer orders and engineering samples. Responsible for line execution, yield tracking, and order fulfillment.

It is not necessary to meet all job requirements to be a qualified candidate for the position.

Responsibilities:

• Machinery Operation:Set up and run production machinery (ATE test handler loading).
• Device Testing & Handler Support:Load device trays/tubes into automated test handlers. Monitor jam rates, perform basic contactor cleaning, and clear mechanical jams to maintain high machine throughput (UPH).
• Visual & Mechanical Inspection:Inspect die surfaces, bond wires, and package leads under optical microscopes for cracks, chip-outs, or solder bridging.
• Lot Inventory & Yield Tracking: Record pass/fail yields, scrap counts, and test execution data in MES/ERP tracking software. Flag low-yield lots to quality and product engineers.

Qualifications & Requirements :

Education: High School Diploma or GED; Associate Degree is a plus.

Experience: 0–2 years in automated electronics or semiconductor back-end manufacturing.

Software/Systems: Working knowledge of MES software, inventory tracking (ERP/SAP), and basic MS Excel for production logs.

Compensation Range:

The annual base salary range for this role is $20.82 per hour – $27.50 per hour. The final offer is determined by factors such as location, experience, education, and training.

In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a quarterly bonus tied to the achievement of innovation goals—reflecting our commitment to recognizing meaningful impact. We also offer equity grants, providing a meaningful opportunity to share in the company’s future growth and success.
