Job summary

Axiom Space is seeking a bold and dynamic Production Test Engineering Manager to optimize production test processes and align with program milestones across its production services. You will lead the Production Test Engineering and Specialty Testing teams, shaping test strategies, resources, and budgets to ensure hardware meets Axiom Space Quality Standards.

Qualifications

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in engineering or similar role; hiring and building high-performing teams.
• Ability to manage project scope, schedule, and provide clear direction to direct reports.
• Hands-on experience building, testing, or assembling ground support equipment for space flight applications.

Responsibilities

• Strategically manage the Production Test organization in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead, mentor, train and develop 10+ mechanical, electrical, and software engineers.
• Manage schedules, staffing, budgets, and deliverables for subsystems.
• Oversee test planning, risk assessments, safety reviews, and test readiness.
