RTX is seeking Production Test Engineer interns for Summer 2027 in Tucson, AZ. Interns will support the manufacturing test process, ensuring hardware compliance with technical requirements and validating test equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
• Experience with Test Equipment and in a Defense Manufacturing environment.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support the validation of new or modified test equipment for production use.
• Ensure the operation of test equipment and associated work instructions are accurate.
• Ensure test equipment and software meet the test requirements specified for the product.
• Monitor and improve the test process through analysis of predictive metrics of trends, failure modes, and test yields.
• Perform preliminary investigation of problem resolution.
• Maintain changes to the test equipment technical data package which includes drawings, test instructions, test position manuals, and system software.
• Assist in non-routine fault isolation, diagnosis and repair of the product or test equipment.
• Lead root cause and corrective action investigations and present findings.

Raytheon Production Test Engineers(PTE) internsare part of a manufacturing team who supportthetest process through one or more phases of the product life cycle, including product development, transition to production, sustained production and depot activities. PTEs validatesandensurescomplianceof the prime hardwareto technical data package requirementsand supporting test equipment. Interns will support the troubleshooting and problem solving of test failures while identifyingopportunitiesin test processes to improve efficiency, yields, and capacity.

What You Will Do

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
