Job summary

Eagle Flexible Packaging seeks a Production Technology & Process Specialist to act as the company’s technical SME for one packaging discipline. The role spans Batavia, IL, and Waupun, WI, delivering hands‑on equipment expertise, process engineering, and continuous improvement leadership across both sites.

The specialist will standardize operating knowledge, develop training and SOPs, and drive improvements in automation, throughput, and quality while partnering with leadership to ensure reliable

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Hands-on success operating, setting up, maintaining, troubleshooting, improving equipment.
• Strong mechanical mindset to understand interactions, controls and variables.
• Ability to create SOPs and training materials for operators.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical SME for assigned department equipment and processes.
• Collaborate to capture and transfer knowledge of equipment capabilities and setup.
• Identify and test improvements in automation, speed, quality, and throughput.
• Provide hands-on support for complex process and quality issues beyond frontline troubleshooting.
• Lead trials to validate settings before standardization.
• Develop training materials and qualification standards for operators.
• Travel to manufacturer sites for training, trials, and testing as needed.
• Document changes and retrain staff to reflect process updates.
