Job description

Job Title: Production Technician

Location: Indianapolis, IN, 46256

Pay Rate: $19.50/hr on W2

Schedule: 6:30am-3:00pm M-Sat

Duration: 12 months

Job Responsibilities
  1. Support packaging of diabetic testing strips.
  2. Set up and operate automatic or semi-automatic packaging machines.
  3. Maintain and improve quality systems and achieve quality objectives daily.
  4. Assist with packaging and labeling vials and finished products.
  5. Operate, monitor, and clean machinery as needed.
  6. Load boxes, vials, and pamphlets into machines for packaging and distribution.
  7. Transport products and materials to various areas, including QC, recycling, and trash.
  8. Use pallet jacks to move and stage pallets.
  9. Audit packaged materials for quality.
  10. Perform quality control on incoming components and inspect parts, orders, and equipment for safety and quality.
  11. Ensure personal and area safety.
  12. Perform housekeeping duties as necessary.
  13. Build and close boxes, including scanning for content.
  14. Prepare pallets for shipment, including shrink wrapping.
  15. Transport pallets between production lines and staging areas.
  16. Complete relevant paperwork as needed.
  17. Rework between 2,000 and 5,000 pieces daily.
Preferred Experience (not required):
  • 1 year of experience
  • Machine operation skills
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Experience in GMP and ISO environments
Education:
  • GED or High School Diploma
