Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure in California is seeking Production Workers to operate machinery, read specifications, and assist with setup. The role emphasizes quality checks, routine maintenance, and safe handling of materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include documenting production, maintaining accuracy, and supporting teammates to meet deadlines while ensuring a clean, safe work area and adherence to safety rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 1 month of experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations.
• Ability to handle problems with several concrete variables.
• Must have computer skills.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in workload.
• Lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction.
• Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance assuring product meets quality requirements.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Assist other operators with machine setup and any other necessary tasks to meet deadlines.
• Keep the assigned area clean and orderly.
• Other duties as needed.
