Job Summary:

This individual will be a working lead in the Electronics Production Department. They will work with Planning to ensure customer need dates are met and equipment is produced efficiently with a high level of quality. They will help create and maintain assembly methods and work instructions. They will develop procedures, methods, and tools for test, verification, and certification of the company’s electronic and RF/Microwave products, as well as perform product tests and prepare product compliance documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assign work to team members that aligns with customer need dates
• Make sure that changes and redlines are documented and communicated to Planning
• Ensure that quality standards are maintained
• Assemble and test a variety of electromechanical and electronic products and systems.
• Interpret engineering documents for assembly, test, and rework:
• Use a wide variety of hand tools,
• Repair electronic assemblies, components, and boards.
• Accurately document and verify test and measurement procedures and results.
• Support process failure analysis and control / process improvement efforts
• Maintain equipment calibration.
• Assist and train other Electronic Technicians in assembly, troubleshooting, and repairs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Technician Certificate or equivalent experience
• 5 years minimum in assembly and test of RF/microwave products.
• Due to the nature of NSI-MI Technologies’ programs and products, applicants must have the legal right to work in the U.S. and additionally must be legally authorized to access export-controlled information and source code.

Desired Qualifications:

• Following and creating written test instructions and procedures
• Written, spoken and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of microwave/RF theory and practice
  • RF/microwave test equipment theory and usage
  • RF/microwave system setup and troubleshooting
• Assembly and repair of through-hole and surface mount circuit boards

• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
• Ability to advance to higher-level technician or engineering positions.
• Knowledge of ISO 9000 Quality processes a plus
• ATE programming experience a plus.
• BSEE/BSET a plus
