Job summary

Nirvana Center Dispensaries in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Production Technician to support day-to-day production, processing, quality control and packaging of regulated cannabis products.

You will follow SOPs, work in a fast-paced environment, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with the team to meet daily production goals while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in cannabis production or similar preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow recipes, SOPs and production specifications.
• Must meet regulatory requirements for cannabis industry employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform various stages of cannabis production and processing, including preparing materials, weighing and measuring ingredients, operating production and extraction equipment, and assisting with the formulation of products such as oils, concentrates, edibles, tinctures, and topicals.
• Follow established recipes, batch specifications, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and production schedules to ensure products are produced accurately, consistently, and on time.
• Conduct routine quality checks throughout the production process, identify inconsistencies or product concerns, and promptly communicate issues to laboratory or production leadership.
• Package finished products using applicable packaging equipment and processes, including filling, labeling, sealing, and preparing products for storage or distribution while ensuring packaging and product information meet Company and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate production, batch, packaging, inventory, and quality-control records and follow all applicable cannabis compliance, safety, sanitation, and documentation requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment; properly clean, sanitize, operate, and care for production equipment, tools, and work areas.
• Monitor production materials, packaging supplies, and equipment needs and communicate shortages, maintenance concerns, or other operational issues to management.
• Work collaboratively with team members and leadership to meet daily production goals, maintain workflow, support other production areas as needed, and contribute to an efficient and positive work environment.

Production Technician

The Production Technician supports the day-to-day production, processing, quality control, and packaging of regulated cannabis products. This position plays an important role in ensuring products are produced safely, consistently, efficiently, and in accordance with Company procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. This role requires the ability to follow established procedures, maintain consistency across high-volume production, work effectively as part of a team, and adapt to changing production priorities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cannabis production, manufacturing, laboratory, food production, packaging, or a similar environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately follow recipes, SOPs, instructions, and production specifications.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable performing repetitive production tasks and learning to operate various production and packaging equipment.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to accurately complete electronic or written production documentation.
• Must meet all applicable state and regulatory requirements for employment within the cannabis industry.

Physical Requirements

This position requires prolonged periods of standing and walking, frequent repetitive hand and arm movements, and the ability to perform production-related tasks throughout the workday. Employees must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds as needed and safely work around production and processing equipment.
