Description
Provides comprehensive technical support for incoming Auditorium/Conference events and assists the Technical Director at J.E. Broyhill Civic Center.

Salary: $33,384.00 - $38,948.00 annually

Location: Caldwell Campus, NC

Job Type: Full Time

Division: J.E. Broyhill Civic Center

Responsibilities include:

  • Participating in technical aspects of theatrical production and conference setup, including audio, lighting, and video.
  • Supporting and troubleshooting IT needs for events.
  • Working with patrons, staff, and students to ensure successful events.
  • Maintaining safety standards and facility readiness.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of electrical principles, networking, theatrical sound, lighting, and video operations.
  • Ability to operate mechanical equipment and perform diagnostics.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.

Physical and Environmental Conditions: Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, work at heights, and operate equipment safely in various environments.

Experience: Minimum one-year live engineering experience; three years preferred. High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.

Schedule: Full-time, 36 hours/week with flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Local travel may be required.
