Job summary

Bausch + Lomb in Tampa, FL is seeking a Production Technician II to operate aseptic filling and packaging lines, ensure GMP compliance, and maintain OEE. The role requires 3–5 years in packaging or aseptic filling, a high school diploma, and strong documentation and math skills.

You will work Tuesday–Friday, 10:30am–9:00pm, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, tuition reimbursement, and paid time off.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain production area to prevent cross-contamination (line clearance).
  • Clean and disinfect equipment after each run and perform line clearance.
  • Maintain OEE (system entry and standards).
  • Document all activities and operations in the batch record.
  • Troubleshoot to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Perform preventive maintenance.
  • Set up for CIP/SIP.
  • Operate filling lines (ointment, gel, solutions, suspension) and serialization.
  • Operate CPMS and serialization systems.
  • Support OpEx improvement initiatives.

Objectives/Purpose of the Job:

The job functions and responsibilities include advanced operation of aseptic filling equipment including ointment fillers, gel fillers, solution/suspension fillers, line and equipment cleaning, line clearance, equipment disinfection, and proper documentation practices.

Packaging:

The job functions and responsibilities include advanced operation of packaging equipment including manual case labeling, visual inspections, bundling, cartoning, labeling, banding, line and equipment cleaning, line clearances, serialization, and proper documentation practices.

Key Activities/Responsibilities/Job Functions:
  • Maintains production area to prevent cross-contamination (line clearance).
  • Cleans/disinfects equipment after each run and performs line clearance.
  • Responsible for maintaining OEE (system entry and standards).
  • Properly document all activities and operations correctly and on time in the batch record.
  • Performs basic troubleshooting to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Performs preventive maintenance.
  • Performs line change overs of format sizes.
  • Meets and maintains all required training during the year (SOP, EHS, and HR).
  • Support operational excellence and EHS initiatives.
  • Assume responsibility for the GMP, ISO, EHS awareness and compliance within the respective area.
  • Attend and participate in OpEx improvement initiatives such as reducing costs and OEE improvements.
  • All other duties, as assigned.
Packaging:
  • Operates packaging line and serialization equipment.
Filling:
  • Transfer components into the aseptic area
  • Set up for CIP/SIP
  • Operates ointment, gel, solutions, and suspension filling lines including RABS fillers.
  • Operates Continuous Particle Monitoring System (Filling)
Internal Qualifications/Certifications:
  • Line Clearance – Filling and Packaging
  • Disinfection – Filling
  • Aseptic Gowning – Filling
  • Spare Parts/PM – Filling and Packaging
  • Serialization – Packaging
  • LOTO – Filling and Packaging
  • CPMS – Filling

Qualifications/Training:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical training preferred.
  • This position requires three to five years as a Packaging Operator II, Aseptic Filling Operator IV, or equivalent experience.
  • Able to work quickly and under pressure.
  • Good documentation and math skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and quality conscious.
  • Good team oriented and excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
