Position Overview

Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a Production Technician II. The successful candidate will be performing glass wash, cell culture sterilization techniques, supporting mammalian cell culture manufacturing processes, sustaining purification of bio-pharmaceuticals, operating various process equipment, documenting daily manufacturing operations in a cGMP environment, and working with single-use and stainless steel bioreactors, fermentation, and/or filtration. This will be a first shift role 7am-7pm.

Job Description

MAJOR ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collects, sterilizes, and washes all new, dirty, or contaminated glassware and other supplies.
  • Produces pharmaceutical components and products by setting-up, cleaning, operating, and maintaining equipment; following aseptic procedures.
  • Produces requirements by operating and monitoring equipment; observing varying conditions; adjusting equipment controls; calculating concentrations, dilutions, and yields; adhering to aseptic procedures.
  • Prepares equipment by performing cleaning-in-place (CIP), steaming-in-place (SIP), and manual cleaning.
  • Prepares media, feeds, and buffers in accordance with procedures.
  • Initiates deviations as needed, reporting and solving problems and issues.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and standard operating procedures; complying with legal regulations; monitoring environment.
  • Follows safety and environmental procedures and uses all precautions necessary to have an injury-free workplace.

BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:

  • HS diploma and 1+ years cGMP biotechnology production experience or BS/BA required.
  • Ultrafiltration, Chromatography, and/or Centrifugation experience.
  • Operation of centrifuges, homogenizers, and depth filtration experience.
