Job Summary:

The Technician I performs calibration and functional tests on subassemblies and end items of moderate complexity, supporting high-volume production test operations.

Essential Functions:
  • Perform testing operations as assigned
  • Create non-conformance reports with detailed descriptions and root cause investigations
  • Interpret work orders, engineering drawings, and test procedures
  • Calibrate and adjust units, perform mathematical calculations for testing parameters
  • Conduct automated and manual testing using various equipment
  • Test units of greater complexity under supervision
  • Practice safe work habits per OSHA and company policies
  • Support Crane Business System initiatives and be flexible to work overtime
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment or equivalent education
  • Familiarity with manufacturing or repair workflows and computer systems
  • Good communication skills and proactive problem solving
  • Ability to learn new software and identify non-conforming conditions
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Eligibility for access to Controlled Data and compliance with ITAR regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control
  • AA degree in Electronics or Mechanical Technology or equivalent experience
Working Conditions:
  • Normal manufacturing environment with required safety equipment
  • Potential exposure to loud noises, cold, dust, fumes
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • Physical requirements include lifting up to 35 lbs, pushing up to 100 lbs, and prolonged sitting and use of microscopes and computers
