Job summary

Miele Manufacturing Inc. in Opelika is seeking Production Technicians to join the Assembly team.

You will perform selected assembly steps for ovens and modules per detailed specifications, ensuring high-quality production and efficient operations. Responsibilities include following SOPs, cross-training in pre- and final assembly, using hand tools, reviewing work orders, and performing functional testing on semi-automated test benches.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 1–2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and system use.
  • Ability to safely operate machinery and tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of production processes preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Passion for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Requires standing, walking, and physical activity throughout the shift.
  • Emphasis on safety, teamwork, and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Cross-train in pre-assembly and final assembly operations, including mains connections, continuous flow heaters, fascia and viewing screen assembly, door and E-box assembly.
  • Maintain the highest quality standards for all products.
  • Follow all PPE and safety requirements.
  • Perform visual inspections of components (completeness, SKU accuracy, damage).
  • Review work orders, production specifications, and technical instructions.
  • Operate hand tools and basic equipment.
  • Meet all requirements of Production Technician I.
  • Perform functional testing of assembled ovens using semi-automated test benches.
  • Complete final packaging operations, including final quality checks.
