Job summary

Owens Corning’s Tallmadge Form Insulation Plant is seeking Production Technicians for a rotating 12-hour schedule with every other weekend off. Starting pay is $19.00/hr with a $2.00 shift differential and a $1,000 sign-on bonus, plus quarterly bonuses. Benefits start day one and weekly pay is provided.

You will safely operate equipment, inspect boards, document data, and support a strong team in a fast-paced environment. Growth and training opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1–5 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read tape measures accurately.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and monitor production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Accurately perform board inspections and measure objects with a tape measure and scale.
• Accurately document production data and quality checks.
• Operate unit wrapper and perform associated tasks.
• Operate board grinders and prepare feed scrap products.
• Operate compactor equipment and related tasks.
• Set up and operate cutting machines.
• Operate printer equipment and barcode machine.
• Operate a tow motor and obtain license.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area.

6:40 PM - 7:00 AM

Rotating 36-hour / 48-hour Schedule

• Week 1: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
• Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
• Every Other Weekend Off

Starting at $19.00 /HR- $2.00 shift d ifferent

Pay Increase Upon Certification: +$1.00/hour (up to $22.00/hour total)

Sign-On Bonus: $1,000!

Quarterly Bonus up to 10%

As a Production Technician, you’ll play a key role in manufacturing operations by ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This is a hands-on role for individuals who enjoy working with equipment, solving problems, and being part of a strong team

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Safely operate and monitor production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Accurately perform board inspections and accurately measure objects using a standard tape measure and a six inch scale
• Accurately document production data,and quality checks
• Operate unit wrapper and perform all associated tasks
• Operate board grinders and prepare and feed scrap products
• Operate compactor equipment and associated tasks
• Properly set up and operate cutting machine
• Operate printer equipment and bar code machine
• Operate a tow motor and obtain license
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area

Additional Responsibilities

• Read and understand production schedule
• Comply with all plant rules
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Regular Attendance and maintain a good attendance record
• Be a team player
• All other duties as assigned or needed

Education

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Experience Preferred

• Manufacturing Environment
• Production Worker, Production Associate, Assembly
• Production Laborer, Grinder, Assembler
• Production Equipment Operator, Set up

The Employee Should Possess

• 1 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting
• Accurately read tape measurers
• Ability to work overtime as necessary

Essential Physical Requirements/Work Environment

• Ability to routinely lift up to 55 lbs. without assistance
• Work up to 12 hours in hot/cold manufacturing environment
• Walk/stand on concrete floor continuously for up to 12 hours
• Safeguard self with Personal protective Equipment (PPE)
• Use cleaning equipment or tools as necessary for housekeeping duties
