Job description

Position Purpose: To manufacture high-quality dental products for commercial sale.

Essential Functions
  1. Execute all policies, procedures, and work instructions associated with this position to fulfill Ivoclar Vivadent Manufacturing, Inc.’s Quality System.
  2. Participate in all aspects of the manufacturing process, trained on all required Standard Operating Procedures and department-related procedures.
  3. Train new employees and cross-train other employees as needed.
  4. Keep accurate records of all production work performed.
  5. Maintain a clean work environment.
  6. Communicate and coordinate activities with previous and following shifts.
  7. Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
  8. Perform physical tasks such as lifting, pulling, pushing (minimum 44 pounds), inspecting small defects, reaching for parts up to 36 inches away, ascending/descending ladders, bending, kneeling, and standing or sitting for long periods.
Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. 0-1 year experience in manufacturing.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  4. Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  5. Strong mechanical aptitude.
  6. Quality-conscious with excellent organizational skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and train team members.
  8. Problem-solving skills and ability to identify waste per Lean principles.
  9. Accurate data gathering and understanding of Lean tools.
Physical Demands

Ability to lift at least 44 pounds, inspect small defects, reach for parts up to 36 inches, ascend/descend ladders, bend, kneel, and sustain long periods of sitting, standing, walking, and lifting. Manual dexterity and machinery operation skills are required.

Equipment & Machinery Used

All departmental production equipment, PC, pallet jacks.
